The course is designed to build on knowledge and develop skills for recognizing and naming the emotions children experience. They will go through a process of understanding and building appropriate responses to express their respective emotions.
Emotional intelligence is challenging to achieve, but vital! We have all seen adults who struggle to manage their emotions, being aggressive, explosive, and lacking maturity and balance. Similarly, there are those who suppress emotions, overly sensitive, kind-hearted, but constantly suffering due to emotional challenges.
To have a good life, it is essential to develop emotional intelligence, and this process should start from early childhood.
Emotional intelligence is the ability to perceive, understand, manage, and use one's emotions intelligently, responding in socially appropriate ways with empathy. Children are naturally centred, and their little worlds revolve around their immediate sphere of influence...
PROGRAM
MODULE 1 / EMOTIONS AND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS - Children are introduced to the concept of Emotional Intelligence. They learn what emotions are and how they drive behaviour and reactions. Different situations evoke different emotions, and they will be taught about universal emotions.
MODULE 2 / PERCEIVING EMOTIONS - To name the emotion they experience, children must first perceive it. If they are not aware of what they feel, they tend to react to external stimuli on autopilot. This module focuses on studying facial expressions.
MODULE 3 / UNDERSTANDING EMOTIONS - Children's behaviour is driven by the emotions they experience. In this module, children learn to understand their emotions and the reasons behind them. Specially designed games are included to develop the ability to distinguish between different levels of emotions, for example, irritation, anger, rage, and aggression.
MODULE 4 / USING EMOTIONS - Once children can recognize and name their emotions, they can use them in different situations. Both positive and negative emotions are essential for their overall psycho-emotional state.
MODULE 5 / EMOTION MANAGEMENT - Children learn how to manage their emotions. With a deep understanding of their emotional state, children can self-regulate. They can control their emotions, which naturally changes their behaviour. This module focuses on specially developed techniques for emotion management.
MODULE 6 / EMOTIONAL MASTERY - Children learn how to handle sudden emotions. They are taught special techniques for reducing tension. Included activities develop basic skills for non-verbal expression of feelings and building trust.
MODULE 7 / EMPATHY - It is crucial for children to be empathetic from a young age. Understanding that their behaviour affects others is the basis for empathy. Situational games are included to develop children's understanding of others' feelings.
MODULE 8 / FAMILY ENVIRONMENT AND EMOTIONS - Emotional intelligence within the family and with relatives. Role-playing and techniques build a model for respectful self-expression. Children often worry about hurting the feelings of loved ones and suppress their own as a result. This module focuses on expression in front of parents.
MODULE 9 / SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT AND EMOTIONS - Emotionally intelligent relationships within friendships. Feelings and adequate expression in school or kindergarten are practised. It is essential for children to feel comfortable with authorities and establish personal boundaries in such environments. The freedom to recognize feelings and defend personal boundaries is a valuable skill.
MODULE 10 / NEGOTIATION - Creating an independent album of memories from the course and reviewing the material covered. Certificates are awarded for completing the Emotional Intelligence Academy course.
The group is small, up to 8 children. There are special materials that will be provided to each child. Parents receive materials for exercises with their children at home and, if needed, communication recommendations in the family environment. It is advisable to arrive 5 minutes early before the announced start time, so the children can leave their outerwear, shoes, backpacks, and begin their personal growth in the world of emotionally intelligent people on time.
